When will my Direct Debit be collected?

You can choose from the 1st or 15th of the month. Your Direct Debit will be collected on your chosen day (or closest working day).

Will I receive confirmation?

Yes, we will send you confirmation in the post within 7 days which will contain all your payment details, chance numbers and the date of your first draw.

How often does the draw take place?

There is a draw every week on a Friday from 04/10/2019

What can I win?

Each week you have the opportunity to win one of 12 cash prizes: 1st Prize: £20,000, 2nd Prize: £1,000 and 10 Runner-Up Prizes: £10 in Amazon vouchers.

How does it work?

Each week 6 numbers between 1 and 49 are randomly selected. We will then check all the eligible entries to see if any match 6 or 5 numbers in any order. If you match all 6 numbers you will win our jackpot of £20,000 and £1,000 if you match 5 numbers.

What's more, every week 10 lucky winners are randomly selected from all eligible entries who are guaranteed to win £10 in Amazon vouchers.

What if more than one entry matches 5 or 6 numbers?

The prize pot will be equally split between each winning entry.

How will I know if I've won?

You'll receive a letter from us within 7 working days of the draw confirming if you are a winner.

How do you pay me my winnings?

We will send you a cheque or a voucher depending on which prize you have won.

I've received a £10 voucher prize can I exchange this for cash?

At the moment we do not have cash alternatives for voucher prizes as per our T&Cs

How do I know that this is fair and legal?

The St John Ambulance Weekly Lottery is fully licenced and regulated by the Gambling Commission and complies with all Gambling Commission Requirements. The UK Gambling Commission is the regulatory body for casinos, bingo clubs, gaming machines, and the larger society lotteries in Great Britain. We have to report on every draw to the Gambling Commission and receive regular audits and visits to make sure that our Lottery is always fully compliant.

Who runs the weekly lottery?

The St John Ambulance Lottery is run by St John Ambulance, and administered by Woods Group Ltd, Bumpers Way, Chippenham, Wiltshire SN14 6NG who are our appointed External Lottery Manager. The St John Ambulance Lottery is regulated by the Gambling Commission and complies with all regulations under the 2005 Gambling Act.

Can I still play if I live in Northern Ireland?

Unfortunately, no. Only residents of Great Britain can play the weekly lottery.

Can St John staff and volunteers play the lottery?

Staff and volunteers are eligible to play the lottery except employees directly involved in the Lottery operations and licensees, they’re excluded from playing the Lottery as well as our External Lottery Manager.

What are the entry requirements for the Lottery?

You must be 18 years old or over and live in Great Britain to enter the Weekly Lottery or to claim a prize.
